How to naturally detox with onions

Hello my darlings!!! So great to be back with a natural detoxifying tip! I mean who doesn't want to feel lighter or get those bacteria out of the body? Well I do! So I was doing a bit of a search and I found this lovely video that I felt will be very handy for everyone to use follow daily. Its what I call the onion detoxifying magic! Yes magic I say...you ask why? Its simply magical for you to place a slice of organic onion under your feet while you sleep and it just does the work for you. You wake up and its a different feeling entirely...but not in a bad way. In this video, you get to see how you could totally substitute detoxifying products with a natural one that works just fine without you spending so much. Maybe you are asking but why detox? I recommend detox for everyone, as long as you eat and consume and walk around planet earth, you definitely need to detoxify yourself!

Detoxifying helps you feel much lighter because you get all the unwanted chemicals and germs out of your body. The bacteria lurking in your system are killed with whatever product you decide to use to detox and for me, I strongly recommend you do it the organic way so you don't add more problems to your body. Detoxifying goes beyond just getting the germs out but it helps you smell and feel cleaner as well and you get rid of that uncomfortable feeling when you need to pull your socks out in public. Its definitely great for your system as well because alot of the medications we are prescribed and use leave residues on our body that only detox can get rid of. You get to reduce the number of times you visit the doctor when you put this simple task on yourself by just doing it at home and more so with something you are really sure of.

Using onion is really a natural great choice here. I mean we all know the benefits of using onions and including it in our meals and the medicinal use of onions. So on in this post, I won't lecture you on that but the focus is for you to detox and do it the natural way. Even if some of you are not comfortable with using onion to detoxify, you could try some of these organic detoxifying products that I specifically handpicked just for you below.

Grilled Tequila Lime Chicken Taco Salad

I am so in love with this Tequila Lime Chicken Taco Salad with an avaocado crema spiked with lime and booze. This meal was prepared by Cafe delites. She makes the best healthy meals. Check out her food blog here. Complete with strips, have a chicken taco in a salad!.

This meal serves 4

Ingredients:
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thigh fillets

Tequila Marinade:
  • ½ cup lime juice (2 limes)
  • ⅓ cup Tequila
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced or crushed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin

Salad
  • 4 cups Romaine lettuce leaves, chopped (or Cos lettuce)
  • 1 cup grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1 yellow pepper, de-seeded and sliced
  • 4 mini tortilla wraps

Avocado Dressing:
  • 1 ripe avocado, peeled and seed removed
  • ½ cup plain yogurt or sour cream
  • ¼ reserved Tequila Marinade (see instructions below)
  • salt to taste

Directions:
  1. In a large, shallow bowl, whisk marinade ingredients together to combine. Pour out ¼ cup the marinade into a jug or cup, and refrigerate to use later in the avocado crema / dressing.
  2. Add the chicken fillets to the marinade in the bowl, and marinade for two hours if time allows (or overnight).
  3. Heat about one teaspoon of oil in a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat and grill chicken fillets on each side until golden, crispy and cooked through (grill in batches to prevent excess water being released.) Once chicken is cooked, set aside and allow to rest.
  4. Wipe pan over with paper towel; drizzle with another teaspoon of oil and fry pepper strips until cooked to your liking.
  5. While chicken and peppers are cooking, combine the avocado, yogurt (or sour cream), reserved tequila marinade, and salt to taste in a blender, and blend until smooth. Add a couple tablespoons of water or milk to make it thinner in consistency if needed.
  6. Optional: Warm tortillas on another pan over low heat until soft and warmed through. Transfer to warmed plates and cut into strips.
  7. Slice chicken and prepare salad with leaves, peppers, tomatoes and chicken. Drizzle with the avocado dressing and serve with lime wedges and taco strips.
